The Digital Finance Institute has strategic partnerships with organizations and joins associations that share our vision and goals for digital finance and FinTech in one of our four pillars of focus – developing a FinTech ecosystem; promoting balanced financial regulation for emerging FinTech; financial inclusion; and women in FinTech.

Our partnerships may be project-based or longer term alignments.

The Institute was the first FinTech organization to enter into a strategic alliance in Hong Kong with FinTechHK in 2014 to form an alliance between Canada and Hong Kong to collaborate in the development of FinTech knowledge, marketing, investment and project-development opportunities to  jointly benefit Canada and Hong Kong.

In 2014, the Institute partnered with SWIFT‘s innovation arm, Innotribe in Brussels, and Carlisle & Gallagher Consulting Group in the United States, to write a White Paper on PowerWomen in FinTech, and the project is entering its second year with the FemTech Leaders project, a successful project that profiles global FinTech women leaders.

We are the only Canadian member of the Asian Venture Philanthropy Association, an association of venture capital firms, PE firms and private capital that are committed to venture philanthropy in Asia.

We entered into a project with the Amsterdam-based THNK to provide digital finance leadership for its C-Suite Executive Leadership Course in 2015.

Among other projects, the Institute agreed to assist with the development of FinTech in Iran with an Iranian firm and held Iran’s first FinTech Conference in the summer of 2015, and is collaborating on a second FinTech Conference in 2016.
